Our client is a dynamic oilfield services company looking to double its size within the next couple of years. With domestic and international operations, they are looking to grow their team with a Regional Financial Controller based in Midland, TX.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Regional Financial Controller will oversee the financial operations of our clients oilfield energy services business unit in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for cost control, full-cycle accounting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the business, providing financial insights and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. This role requires direct weekly and monthly reporting to the corporate office, full month-end close responsibility, and weekly meetings with the CFO and management to discuss financial performance and operational efficiencies.
The successful candidate must be a cost-control champion, with a relentless focus on reducing expenses and enforcing financial discipline across the organization. This role requires a strong individual who is not afraid to stand up to operations, push back on unnecessary expenditures, and instill financial discipline when needed to protect the company's financial health. The role also includes overseeing 2-3 admin/data entry clerks and ensuring that the high volume of daily invoices and work tickets are processed efficiently while maintaining strict financial oversight.
As the ideal candidate, you possess an accounting designation (CPA), with an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field. You have proven experience in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting, expertise in ERP systems, accounting software and financial modelling tools along with strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
